Hole
I Par 5 - 521 metres
A relatively straightforward Par 5 which doglegs right.
You will require a good tee shot to avoid the pond on
the left and thick trees to the right. Keep your second
shot left to set up a short iron approach to the green.
|
 |

Hole 2
Par 4 - 390 metres
This index 3 hole doglegs slightly left. Trees await
tee shots aimed right while shots to the left will find
the pond. A long and accurate tee shot should set you
up nicely for the second shot to the green which is
two-tiered and has subtle breaks.
|
 |

Hole
3 Par 3 - 141 metres
The first of the four Par 3s, with two bunkers and a
stream running at the right of the hole waiting to punish
errant shots. The green is not visible from the tee
box and this could be a problem to some.
|
 |

Hole 4
Par 4 - 387 metres
The only hole on the course which does not have a bunker,
the tight and narrow fairway has jungle on the right
and a small creek cuts across the fairway to catch mishit
shots aimed at the green.
|
 |

Hole
5 Par 4 - 396 metres
This index 1 hole is uphill all the way and requires
an accurate tee shot to avoid trouble lurking on both
sides of the fairway. Be careful to avoid three bunkers
fronting the green on your second shot. The undulating
and tricky green lies at the end of the mountain slope.
|
 |

Hole 6
Par 3 - 205 metres
The longest Par 3 at Damai. Beware of the two relatively
large bunkers before the green which has subtle breaks
to torment poor putters. |
 |

Hole
7 Par 4 - 335 metres
Hit to the centre of the fairway to avoid bunkers on
the left and right of the fairway. The green is well-guarded
by a giant bunker which is not visible from the fairway.
Otherwise it's a straightforward Par 4. You are advised
to play a longer club on your second shot for better
results.
|
 |

Hole 8
Par 5-510 metres
This slightly dogleg right hole has a wide landing
area for the tee shot but the fairway narrows as it
reaches the green. Thick bushes await sliced drives.
Put your second shot left to avoid a large pond and
set up a short iron approach to a tricky, sloping green. |
 |

Hole
9 Par 4 - 385 metres
This index 5 hole presents a demanding finish to the
front nine. Two large ponds guard the tee shot and
the green. |
 |

Hole 10
Par 4 - 344 metres
An easy and straightforward hole. However, you must
avoid the fairway bunkers that catch topped tee shots
to set up a short iron approach. There is a generous-sized
green which is relatively easy on the nerves.
|
 |

Hole
11 Par 5 - 494 metres
A testing Par 5, this hole doglegs right. The decisive
second shot must carry across a small ravine to lay
up the third shot to a tight green guarded by a series
of bunkers. It is a challenge to get the ball into
the hole. |
 |

Hole 12
Par 4 - 360 metres
Ponds on both sides of the fairway are designed to
catch slice and draw shots off the tee. Make sure that
you use one club more on the second shot to avoid a "ladder-like"
bunker guarding the green. |
 |

Hole
13 Par 4 - 423 metres
The longest Par 4 at Damai. For this index two hole,
you will need an accurate tee shot to carry over the
ponds. OB to the left. Play a long iron or fairway wood
for second shot to avoid the pond on the right. Two
bunkers await around the green, making things more difficult.
|
 |

Hole 14
Par 3 - 190 metres
You will need a perfect tee shot to carry over the large
ravine, with casuarina trees and mangrove to the left
and OB on the right. A tight fairway with a series of
bunkers guarding the subtly contoured green.
|
 |

Hole
15 Par 4 - 359 metres
A mangrove swamp and the sea on the left, and OB mound
on right, making this an interesting hole, especially
when the breeze blows creating all kinds of problems
with club choice. Three fairway bunkers await to catch
poorly hit tee shots.
|
 |

Hole 16
Par 4 - 361 metres
A spectacular Par 4 with the ocean to the left and
OB to the right. You will need a strong second shot
to carry a small creek to the uphill green guarded
by a large bunker. |
 |

Hole
17 Par 3 - 154 metres
The signature hole at Damai. This hole requires a precise
tee shot, not an easy proposition bearing in mind that
the South China Sea covers three sides of the green.
Wind conditions can play havoc with your choice of club
and your nerves. Certainly not a hole for the faint-hearted!
|
 |

Hole 18
Par 5 - 473 metres
A tight Par 5. From tee to green, the left side is guarded
by the ocean and by casuarina groves on the right. There
is a narrow landing area on the fairway for first and
second shots. A series of bunkers await as you approach
this tricky finishing hole.
